How to Brew and Prepare Hodgenog

Hodgenog is Tivvia’s premiere dessert tea—a smooth, creamy beverage in powdered form crafted as a sweet treat in a cup, layered with peppermint brightness and warm spice depth.

Inside the 24 g container you’ll find powdered milk, peppermint, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.

The result? A milky, golden, subtly spiced brew that feels indulgent yet refined.

Here’s how to prepare it properly.

What You’ll Need

Hodgenog Capsule (24g) Hodgenog Tin Mix (16 oz)
● 8–10 oz water 10 oz of water (1¼ cups)
● 1 serving Hodgenog powder (from the 24 g container) ● 1 scoop of Hodgenog mix (3 g)
● Small saucepan ● Small pot
● Spoon for stirring 6-8 oz of milk (1 cup)
● 1 tablespoon of honey (to turn the Brut into the Delight) ● Spoon for stirring
● 2 tablespoons of honey (to turn the Brut into the Delight)

Step-by-Step Brewing

Hodgenog Capsule Hodgenog Tin Mix
1. Bring Water to a Rolling Boil Heat 8–10 oz of water until it reaches a full rolling boil. Add 10 oz of water and 1 scoop of Hodgenog mix to a small pot. Bring to a rolling boil and boil for 10 minutes.
2. Reduce Heat Lower to a gentle simmer. This protects the milk powder and allows the spices to bloom gradually. Reduce heat to low. Add 6-8 oz of milk (whole milk preferred) and stir for 3–5 minutes on low heat (do not boil).
3. Add Hodgenog Powder Pour in the contents and stir frequently for 7 minutes. The simmer coaxes out the warmth of turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg while allowing the milk powder to fully incorporate. Expect a creamy consistency and a rich golden hue. Sweeten with 2 teaspoons of honey, or to your taste. Strain if desired and serve warm.
4. Strain (Optional) For a silkier finish, strain before serving.
5. Add Honey Sweeten to taste to make the Hodgenog Delight. The honey softens the peppermint and deepens the dessert-like profile. For an even fuller body, feel free to add a splash of fresh milk.

What to Expect in the Cup / Tin

A creamy body from the milk
A gentle cooling lift from peppermint
A warm spice backbone from cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg
Golden depth from turmeric

Hodgenog drinks like a spiced milk tea—comforting, aromatic, and quietly bold.

Sip slowly. Let it coat the palate.
Brew responsibly.
